Hi everyone!
So, with the holidays over, I did tease that in the midst of last year’s inactivity, we had a new tulpa join us. She’s been with us since September, so she’s quite at home now in our ever-growing group.
As I was playing a very old game, my character was a silent protagonist, but as a lot of us pen-and-paper roleplaying types know, that rarely tends to remain the case. Going through the game (which was very long), I started, of course, wondering who she’d be and what she’d think—and soon enough, she started answering. To my credit, I was only a few more hours in when I asked her, “Wait, you’re actually here, aren’t you?” Of course, she laughed and told me yes, and that’s when I knew I’d encountered another tulpa. Needless to say, her story has wildly diverged from anything the game could have ever provided.
She was originally meant as the “brood mother” of her tribe, a huge honor among her kind. However, she had the unfortunate idea to question the “how” and “why,” as she wasn’t really into that idea, even though she was very honored by the suggestion. So, the elders—being only as stodgy as you can imagine elders of an old tribe being—sent her away to a sort of training ground for warriors instead. There, she initially did very well, as her ability to fight, shoot, and cast spells was unmatched. But, again, her habit of sticking her nose where it didn’t belong got her into more trouble when she accidentally found a source of cursed magic and absorbed it.
The way she tells her story, she was banished into the wilderness with her name stripped from her (they literally used magic so she couldn’t communicate her name in any shape or form). The only identifying information she had was her title, “Outcast,” but in her own language. I could repeat that word here, but out of respect for her, I won’t.
Her species is very long-lived compared to humans, so by her accounts, her 155 years of age is just what we’d consider early 20s in our timeframe. She’s average height and has strange, mottled grey skin that is the result of her magic use. She says that she doesn’t really “use” magic, but rather it comes from within her; I’m not sure what the difference is myself. Her eyes are slitted like a cat’s, which means she has excellent vision even in an almost pitch-black room. Her hair is shoulder-length, and she prefers to have a sort of golden-yellow hue that goes with her eye color, which is a very deep golden tint. Her fashion is sort of early Western era—rough but durable clothes, favoring leather and a pair of jeans that have had a lot of fixes and patches done to them over the years. I wonder if they’re even older than me, and that’s something considering I’m past my mid-40s this year!
As I was introducing her to everyone, she was immediately endeared to Circe, as she said that Circe exudes an “old brood mother aura of power.” It took us a while to realize that in her culture, it’s almost akin to a figure in religion, like a saint or something similar. It didn’t help that Circe told her about the fact that she is the mother of a brood of female driders and showed her how large she really is when she isn’t adjusting her height to match ours.
During the Xmas dinner, she was definitely all over the place, introducing herself and talking with everyone as if she’d known them forever. But for a lot of last year and this year, she’s been on a walkabout, taking in all the scenery that our many worlds have to offer. And when she’s back from that, I’m sure Circe and her will have a lot to talk about 😉
Here are two pictures of her, one rendered via AI, another one created with the Hero Forge tool. Of course, the details aren’t perfect, but I think you can all get the general idea:
And with that, I wish you all a pleasant February and a happy Valentine’s Day in advance. Thanks for reading!
As always, your scribe

Haha, thanks! I haven't heard about people roleplaying things, but, if you had fun that's all that counts :D -WF
Me and my friend Thea had a blast reading these interviews and roleplaying the characters, thank you so much.
Thanks! And yes, me and my tulpas discovered long ago that creating a framework with rules like these was essential…
This was quite the strange tale. I definitely find it fascinating how your inner world is hard-coded with limiters and…
